Administration

Suzanne has worked at Listen and Talk since October 2007. Prior to holding that post, she served on the Listen and Talk Board of Trustees for over 9 years. Suzanne holds her BA in Audiology from The George Washington University, her MS in Audiology from Columbia University and her Ph.D. in Hearing Sciences from University of Washington. Suzanne maintains her certification in Audiology. From 1991-2000 she was Director of Audiology and Director of Cochlear Implants at Virginia Mason Medical Center. In addition, during that time, Suzanne was a clinical and associate professor at the University of Washington, focusing on areas of aural rehabilitation.

Maura has worked at Listen and Talk since 1996 after starting in auditory-oral and auditory-verbal settings in 1990. She holds her BA in Deaf Education from Fontbonne University and her MA in Early Childhood Education from the University of Texas, San Antonio. Maura is also a Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist. As Educational Director she also provides early intervention, auditory-verbal therapy, and educational consultations. Maura has presented and contributed to publications on the topics of auditory-verbal therapy and the development of listening and spoken language in children with all degrees of hearing loss.

Jackie Schultz

Jackie joined Listen and Talk as Development Director in 2011. She previously served as Development Director of the Lutheran Alliance To Create Housing and has also worked as a consultant in Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco. Jackie holds a degree in International Studies and a degree in Political Science from the University of Washington where she was a McNair scholar.  Jackie has over 10 years of development, marketing, and communications in the arts and social service sectors. 

Katie has worked at Listen and Talk since July 2008. She graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Anthropology. She previously worked for the Education Outreach Registration Department at the University of Washington as well as for DigiPen Institute of Technology as a Student Affairs Assistant.

Amara joined Listen and Talk in August 2011. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from the University of Kansas, and an MA in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from the University of Washington. She has worked in Student Services at the University of Kansas, Seattle University, and the University of Washington.
