Listen and Talk’s blended preschool and pre-kindergarten classrooms include children with hearing loss and children with normal hearing who learn to listen, talk and think together. These classrooms act as a bridge for children with hearing loss who are preparing to enter a neighborhood kindergarten program. In addition to developmentally appropriate preschool activities, teachers make sure each child has the concepts, language and social skills necessary to succeed in a regular classroom. Children with normal hearing benefit from small classes with highly qualified teachers and enrich Listen and Talk’s preschool experience for all students.
