Star Leonard-Fleckman, MA, MS, CCC-A, LSLS Cert. AVT Auditory-Verbal Therapist, Early Intervention Specialist, Teacher of the Deaf, Educational Audiologist starlf@listentalk.org Star received her Masters degree in the education of deaf children from the Central Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis, Missouri, and later received a Masters in Audiology at the University of Connecticut. In 1994, she received her certification as an Auditory-Verbal Therapist. Star's career in the field spans 35 years, beginning as a preschool teacher at Tucker-Maxon Oral School in Portland, Oregon and later in the school's Parent-Infant Program. Star moved to Seattle in 1982 and opened a private practice that lasted 14 years until she donated her practice to the beginning of Listen and Talk in 1996. In 2000, after serving as the Founding Director and later Educational Director of Listen and Talk, she returned to working exclusively with families and their children with hearing loss. She is currently a staff member in the Parent-Infant Program. |

Kim Hamren, MA Ed, CED, LSLS Cert. AVT Early Intervention Specialist, Parent Infant Coordinator kimh@listentalk.org Kim has worked at Listen and Talk since 1997. She is the parent infant coordinator and also provides early intervention services. Over the years Kim has served as a preschool teacher, Auditory Verbal therapist, and preschool coordinator. She received her Teacher of the Deaf certification and her B.S. in Education from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 1980 and her M.Ed in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1992. She became a Certified Auditory Verbal Therapist in 2003. Previously, Kim taught preschool at the Omaha Hearing School for more than 4 years along with some Birth-3 services. She worked for 5 years as a Home-Based Special Educator for Birth-3 services with the Lincoln Public School District where she worked with families whose children had a variety of special challenges. |

Mona (Monika-Maria) Oster, MA, CED, LSLS Cert. AVT Monika-Maria (Mona) has worked at Listen and Talk since the summer of 2004. She is the preschool coordinator and also provides educational consultations through the CDHL Partnership Project. Mona received a degree in special education/deaf education from the University of Education Heidelberg, Germany in 2002, and in 2004 a master's degree in early intervention in deaf education from Fontbonne University in St. Louis, MO. She became a certified Listening and Spoken Language Specialist – Auditory Verbal Therapist in 2010. |

Christine Teteak, MA, CCC-SLP, LSLS Cert. AVT Christine has worked at Listen and Talk since 2006. She graduated from the University of Washington in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences. In 2006, she earned her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Washington State University. She is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist and Listening and Spoken Language Specialist (LSLS) - Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist. She serves as the Therapy Coordinator and provides therapy services for preschool and pre-kindergarten students and their families. |

Tara Sperandeo-Ellis, M.ED., M.S., CCC-A Tara joined the parent infant program at Listen and Talk in September of 2011. She received her Masters degree in Audiology at Northeastern University in Boston in 2000. She completed her Clinical Fellowship in Audiology at Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech in 2002 where she continued her professional training in audiology, educational and early childhood programs. She received her Masters of education of the deaf from the collaborative teacher training program at Clarke School and Smith College in Massachusetts in 2005. She has spent the last six years in Bermuda working to develop and strengthen auditory/oral programming for families who choose listening and spoken language for their children with hearing loss. |

Amy Kyler, M. ED Early Intervention Specialist Amy joined Listen and Talk in the spring of 2009 as an early intervention specialist on the Parent Infant team. In the Fall of 2011 Amy joined the consult team and is working part time Parent Infant and part time consults with CDHL’s partnership project. She holds a BA in Child Development from from Whittier college and her MA in special education with a deaf and hard of hearing credential from the John Tracy Clinic in Los Angeles. She has taught preschool at the National Child Research Center in Washington D.C., and at Tucker Maxon Oral school in Portland Oregon. |

Ashley Onorato, MA, SLP-CF Ashley started at Listen and Talk in the fall of 2010 as a graduate intern working under Sandy Robinson and Christine Lambert. She now is working as a full time employee with the parent infant program while completing her clinical fellowship. Ashley graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Science in 2007. She earned her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Washington State University in 2010. |

Rebecca Schumer, M.ED Teacher of the Deaf, Early Intervention Specialist rebeccas@listentalk.org Rebecca has worked at Listen and Talk since the summer of 2007 as a preschool teacher and a member of the Parent-Infant program. During the 2005-2006 school year Rebecca worked as an Educational Assistant at Listen and Talk and prior to that she completed a 4 month internship at Listen and Talk for her undergraduate degree. Rebecca received her undergraduate degree in Christian Education from Trinity Lutheran College in Issaquah, Washington. In the spring of 2007, she received her Masters degree in Special Education specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing from the University of San Diego. While enrolled in that program, Rebecca spent much of her time on-site at John Tracy Clinic in Los Angeles. |

Betsy Twist, M.A., CED Early Intervention Specialist Betsy Twist joined Listen and Talk in the fall of 2008 as a first year professional, mentored by Maura Berndsen MA, CED, LSLS Cert. AVT . She became a lead teacher for a new preschool classroom in January of 2009, and moved into her current position of Parent Infant Service Provider in July of 2009. Betsy earned her Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville in 2006, and her Masters degree in Early Intervention in Deaf Education from Fontbonne University in St Louis, MO, in 2007. |

Robin G Waterman, Au.D., CCC-A Pediatric Audiologist Robin joined the Listen and Talk team in September 2010. She graduated from the University of Washington in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She continued her studies at the University of Washington, and earned her Masters degree and Doctorate, both in Audiology. Robin was previously employed as the pediatric audiology specialist at Virginia Mason Medical center for five years. She has worked in several pediatric audiology clinics and early intervention sites in the Seattle area. She has also volunteered at the newborn hearing screening program at a local hospital, served as a nanny for two school-aged children, and coached youth gymnastics at a private academy in Kirkland. |

Kristin Wilson, MA, CCC-SLP Speech Language Pathologist Kristin began working at Listen and Talk in 2009 as a clinical fellow. She provides speech and language therapy, and early intervention services. Kristin holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of Washington and a MA in Speech Language Pathology from Western Washington University in Bellingham. Prior to working with Listen and Talk, Kristin managed a literacy program for elementary and middle school aged children. Kristin has worked with children who are deaf or hard of hearing using an auditory verbal approach since 2006 and is currently seeking certification as a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist. |
