Dear Listen and Talk Families,

I hope that you are safe and well as we all work to stop the spread of COVID-19. With the Governor’s order to stay home, our daily lives continue to change. Thank you so much for your patience as we work together in new ways.

Please know that Listen and Talk is here for your family. We are using virtual services so that you have steady support. We are sharing other resources in case that helps your family.  We are working to interact socially while we need to be physically distant.

Listen and Talk has always believed in family-centered services and we will keep your family as the focus of our virtual services. Please watch for information from your Listen and Talk provider, through email from us, and on Listen and Talk’s social media pages.  Thank you for working with us as we adjust to these changing times.

I want you to know that it is truly an honor to support your family. When Listen and Talk opened in 1996, our founder, Star Leonard-Fleckman told me many times that change is good, because it gives us things to discover, talk about and learn. We definitely have lots of change happening around us. So I hope that we are all able to find some joy in discovery and learning as we “stay home and stay healthy” in the weeks ahead…take good care.

Maura

How can you prevent the spread of COVID-19?

Prevention starts with practicing good personal health habits:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water,
  • Stay home when you’re sick,
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue,
  • Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects.
  • Get plenty of rest, drink fluids, eat healthy foods and manage your stress to help you prevent getting COVID-19 and recover from it if you do.

DOH has established a call center to address questions from the public. If you have questions about what is happening in Washington State, please call 1-800-525-0127 and press #.
