Brynne Powell is a New Jersey native who is dedicated to providing opportunities for the children at Listen and Talk. After graduating from Loyola University Maryland in 2013 with a degree in speech pathology, she completed one year of AmeriCorps at a high school in Boston, serving students from low-income families who needed support in reaching grade level in reading, math, and writing. She then continued her education at Smith College by receiving a graduate degree in Education of the Deaf and worked as a teacher of the deaf in Portland, Oregon, for two years following her degree. This is her second year at Listen and Talk and she is excited to learn and grow from the staff and children here. In her spare time, Brynne enjoys going down the shore, visiting family and friends on the East coast, and trying new restaurants.
