Blended Classrooms

Communication-rich preschool and pre-kindergarten classrooms encourage the development of students’ social, literacy, critical thinking, and self-advocacy skills.

Children who are deaf or hard of hearing and children who have normal hearing learn side-by-side in our Blended Classrooms. Auditory strategies are integrated throughout the day to help students develop the fluent use of spoken language and listening skills. We rely on a cognitive approach that allows children to develop critical thinking, social, and self-advocacy skills while mastering concepts and pre-academic skills that lead to later success throughout their lives.

All children in our classrooms benefit from small class sizes, high quality sound systems, and a language-rich environment provided by highly trained educators.
